SDC 2018 took place right here in Los Angeles. The team was tasked with designing a high rise building that would complement the Los Angeles skyline. Students proposed a skyscraper that represented the essence of Southern California.
The team then proceeded to design and test a balsa wood model that would represent the proposed structure. The model was designed to withstand simulated earthquakes and was assembled by hand.
USC scored 2nd in architecture. Good work Trojans!
